How to cite
Cite the recording by its tape number and the time, and give the archival address on Media Collections Online; the time links on every tape page give you both. Every tape page has a "cite this moment" box that fills in the speaker, the place, the date, the tape and the current time, ready to copy.

The index is revised continually — see what has changed — so give the date you consulted it; the date of the build you are reading stands at the foot of every page. The addresses of towns, people, tapes, passages and songs are stable.
The Archives' collection numbers (for example 09-010.04-F for Berdychiv) are listed on the archival collections page. When quoting a song, give the singer, the town and the year as well as the tape and time: song titles on this site are opening words, not fixed titles.
