Summary
Short audio-only fragment (about two and a half minutes) from the 2015 Zhitomir expedition, with the informant Blopstein. He recalls the wartime evacuation and the years just after the war: his mother and sister at work, and hunger and then better food in a different district. Kerler asks about the year. The file is one of two consecutive files and begins and ends mid-conversation.

Blopstein recalls the war years and afterwards. In Stalingrad (?) his mother looked after pigs at a firm and his sister worked at an aerodrome, where she served soldiers and officers. He himself tended animals (?) nearby, and they lived there until the war ended. Kerler asks the year, and the answer is 1945, followed by confused figures for how long they stayed. They spent about three more years there, with little to eat. They then came to another district, apparently near Petropavlovka (?), where food was better, with milk and sour cream. The last lines are unclear.
