Searches the catalogue descriptions of every passage, the names of people and towns, song titles and questionnaire items. A hit on a recording opens the tape at the passage.

Not yet searchable: the words spoken on the tapes. A search over the machine transcripts is planned once they are good enough; until then the descriptions are the way in.
