A woman, named Liudmila Vladimirovna in the Russian lines, recites Russian poems. One is about a former synagogue that became a sports school and about Passover, a rabbi and longing for Israel. Another, called 'hands', is a personal poem, and a Russian tribute to the late community chairman Wertman (?) closes the set. She also recites a humorous Ukrainian verse about a godfather and a river. In between, others discuss booking a hotel in Zhytomyr.
Beyond the reading of documents, the passage includes the Ukrainian humorous verse and the tribute to a deceased community chairman.
Filmed prayer service at the Zhytomyr Jewish community center. The transcript is largely garbled and mainly shows Hebrew and Yiddish chanting, with fragments of Yiddish talk by a man in between. A second voice then reads a long Russian text, apparently psalm verses, and a short Russian passage on a rabbinic commentary about anxiety.
Besides the service, a long Russian psalm-like reading is heard and a man speaks Yiddish in the background.
After the service, community members chat informally in Yiddish. They discuss earlier visits by the team in 2002, 2003 and 2005 (the years are partly unclear), the passing of years, a woman aged 92, and which person was born where. A speaker mentions the old synagogue and the neighborhood called Piatka. They talk of arranging time to sit and talk, and someone is to be asked about a man from a good family.
