At the start, Katz states the date and place, and Kerler gives a brief report on the expedition's progress. He mentions the many elderly Jews who have told of childhood, biography and way of life, and the new findings on dialect. Katz then questions two small boys about their cheder: their ages and names, the teacher, the weekly Torah portion and the story of Adam and Eve in Eden.

The transcript shows an expedition progress report and an exchange with small boys about cheder, not footage only.

Interview with Polina Goluvinskaia

Katz and Kerler interview Goluvinskaia, who is said to have turned a hundred, with a helper explaining a Hesed video. She was born in Zhytomyr. Her father worked at a factory and died when she was a child, leaving five children, and she names her mother and some siblings. She worked in a cinema before the war and was evacuated in 1941, the place being unclear. She recalls praying, going to cheder alone, Sabbath candles and holidays, which she mostly no longer remembers. She says her grandfather was a rebbe who held gatherings at his table, and she mentions a Russian school. She then answers Russian-prompted questionnaire items (breathe, ear, attic, sky colour, mouse, deaf, pigeon), with some of her answers uncertain.
